La Organización Mundial
de Gastroenterología (WGO viene desarrollando Centros de
Entrenamiento (Training Centers) en diferentes regiones del mundo
con el objetivo de contribuir a mejorar la educación y el
entrenamiento en todos los aspectos de la gastroenterología. En este
sentido, el Instituto de Gastroenterología Boliviano-Japonés de La
Paz, ha sido designado CENTRO DE ENTRENAMIENTO EN
GASTROENTEROLOGÍA Y ENDOSCOPIA DIGESTIVA PARA LATINO
AMÉRICA, y su misión consiste en organizar cursos de
capacitación en estas especialidades de la medicina, para los
médicos de la región.

Welcome to the
Training Center
The
World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) comes developing Training
Centers in different regions of the world and its main goal is
contributing to improve the education and training in all aspects of
gastroenterology. By this means, the Bolivian Japanese Institute of
Gastroenterology at La Paz, (I.G.B.J.), has been designated as a
TRAINING CENTER OF GASTROENTEROLOGY AND DIGESTIVE ENDOSCOPY FOR
LATIN AMERICA, and its mission consist on organizing training
courses in these specialties of the medicine, for medical
proffesionals of the
region.

Objetivos del La Paz WGO Training Center
Contribuir a mejorar aspectos
asistenciales, docentes y de investigación de las enfermedades
digestivas en la región, a través de programas anuales de
capacitación en gastroenterología y endoscopia digestiva, así como otros adelantos que impactan en el desarrollo de la especialidad.
Promover mecanismos de interacción entre especialistas
internacionales y regionales en los campos de la gastroenterología, endoscopia y cirugía digestivas, incorporando a nuevas generaciones de especialistas, como eje central del programa.
Contribuir con el fortalecimiento del concepto de “medicina con visión social”, acorde con realidades y necesidades regionales.

Objectives of La Paz WGO Training
Center
To
contribute to the improvement of the
attention, teaching and research in the field of digestive disease
in the region, through anual training programs in gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy, as well as other advances that hit in the development of the specialty.
To promote interaction mechanisms between international and
regional specialists in the fields of gastroenterology, digestive endoscopy and surgery, incorporating to new generations of specialists, like central axis of the program.
To contribute with the fortification of the concept “medicine with social vision”, in agreement with regional realities and needs.
