OBJECTIVES

To contribute to the improvement of the attention, teaching and research in the field of digestive disease in the region, through anual training programs in gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy, as well as other advances that hit in the development of the specialty.

To promote interaction mechanisms between international and regional specialists in the fields of gastroenterology, digestive endoscopy and surgery, incorporating to new generations of specialists, like central axis of the program.

To contribute with the fortification of the concept “medicine with social vision”, in agreement with regional realities and needs.

Institutions involved in La Paz WGO Training Center programs
  1. WGO
    Through its Committee of Education and Training, it name and it guarantees the academic activities of La Paz WGO Training Center, contributes with educational and it grants scholarships. 
  2. Bolivian Japanese Institute of Gastroenterology (IGBJ)
    It is headquarter for the La Paz WGO Training Center from 2005 and operating one of the training programs. 
  3. Interamerican Gastroenterology Association (AIGE)
    It grants scholarships for training in La Paz WGO Training Center in agreement with specific call. 
  4. Bolivian Society of Gastroenterology (SBG)
    The Bolivian Society of Gastroenterology (SBG) in his role as member of the WGO is the nexus with governing organ of the specialty at world-wide level. 
  5. Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG)
    It grants academic support.  
  6. American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE)
    It grants academic support.  
  7. Asociación Española de Gastroenterología (AEG)
    It grants academic support.
